Enjoying an afternoon on the shore, Britney Spears and beau Jason Trawich were spotted grabbing up an ice cold treat while visiting the beach in Long Island, New York on Wednesday (August 3).
The casually clad duo tried their best to stay incognito as they took to the sandy adventure along with the “I’m a Slave 4 U” singer’s dad, Jamie, and adorable son Jayden.
And there’s nothing but good news for Britney as she continues onward with her wildly-successful “Femme Fatale” tour – as she has just nabbed her 12th top 10 single on Billboard’s Hot 100 list.
Spears’ latest musical offering, “I Wanna Go,” moved up from #11 to #9 this week – making it her fifth consecutive top 10 hit following “Hold It Against Me,” “3,” her appearance on Rihanna’s “S&M” remix and “Till the World Ends.”
LMFAO spends its fifth week atop the Billboard Hot 100, to be released tomorrow (Aug. 4) on Billboard.com, with “Party Rock Anthem,” featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock, while Britney Spears scores her third top 10, “I Wanna Go,” from her album “Femme Fatale,” marking her first-ever set to produce a trio of Hot 100 top 10s. Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” remains at No. 2.
“Party” takes over the top spot on Radio Songs, lifting 2-1 with a 2% gain to 146 million in all-format audience, according to Nielsen BDS. The track tallies a fifth week at No. 1 on Digital Songs, although it declines by 4% to 202,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
At No. 9, Spears’ “Go” enters the top 10 from No. 11. The cut concurrently reaches the top tier on Radio Songs (13-9; 76 million, up 22%) and rises 9-7 on Digital Songs (116,000, down by less than 1,000 downloads). With the song’s Hot 100 advance, Spears has tallied three top 10s from her seventh studio album, “Femme Fatale.” Lead single “Hold It Against Me” debuted at No. 1 the week of Jan. 29, and “Til the World Ends” reached No. 3 in May.
Spears had twice previously banked as many as two Hot 100 top 10s from an album. The title cut from “…Baby One More Time” spent two weeks at No. 1 and “(You Drive Me) Crazy” reached No. 10 in 1999. Spears repeated the feat with the first two singles from “Circus”; “Womanizer” topped the Oct. 25, 2008, Hot 100 and the title song rose to No. 3 that December.
“Go” is Spears’ 12th Hot 100 top 10 and fifth in-a-row. Her streak began with “3″ in 2009 (from “The Singles Collection”) and, along with the first three singles from “Femme,” includes Rihanna’s “S&M,” on which Spears guested; the song ruled the April 30 Hot 100.
Dating to Spears’ first week in the Hot 100′s top 10 (Dec. 12, 1998), she trails only Rihanna (18) and Beyonce (14) for most top 10s among women.
So does Spears’ boyfriend Jason Trawick have anything to worry about?

No. Sources confirm that the Twilight hunk was offered to play the pop singer’s steamy boy-toy in the video for her third single, “I Wanna Go.” However, Mr. Lutz politely declined.
The news, first reported by Hollywood Life, comes just a couple of weeks after Spears and Lutz met for the first time when he attended her Beverly Hills fundraiser earlier this month for the St. Bernard Project’s ongoing Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. (FYI: Lutz told me at the event that “Oops!…I Did It Again” is his favorite Britney song.)
In the video, being shot in L.A. today and tomorrow, Lutz apparently would have rescued Spears from pesky paparazzi before going on to lock lips in the backseat of a car. Oh, said hunky character also turns out to be a robot.
No word on who eventually snagged the part, but sources deny the report that Matthew McConaughy was also approached about the gig.
Britney is not listed as part of the Billboard Awards line up, but word has quickly spread that she’s been booked to take the stage not once, but twice tonight.
The 29-year-old pop star is said to be rehearsing as part of the opening act with Rihanna, 23, as they perform the Barbadian singer’s hit song S&M.
Then Britney will take the stage with Nicki Minaj later in the show, which is being held at the MGM Grand Hotel is Las Vegas.
Sources tell Us Weekly Magazine there is a lot of excitement surrounding Britney’s rumoured appearances.
Most anticipated is her live performance, for the first time ever with hip-hop star Nicki Minaj, 29, as they partner up for a remix of Spears’ hit Till The World Ends.
Minaj first met Spears in April and later that month, Spears confirmed on her website that the rapper would be joining her on her Femme Fatale tour this summer.
‘I’m obviously honored to be out with Britney,’ Minaj told US of the tour.
‘She’s freakin’ paved the way for so many things right now in pop culture. I’m excited to be on with her,’ she added.

So what will Spears’ return to the live television be like? “It’s gonna be big,” a source says. “People will definitely be talking about it the next day.”
The 2011 Billboard Music Awards air Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
She’s the resident queen of pop but when it comes to her career in film, she seems to be more of a one hit wonder. Britney Spears made her film debut in 2002′s ‘Crossroads’ to a less than lukewarm reception but there’s one director who thinks Spears has what it takes to take another crack at the silver screen.
According to Vulture, David O. Russell, director of the Oscar nominated ‘The Fighter,’ has high hopes for Spears and thinks that her “great entertainer” status on stage could translate to film.
“I think Britney could be great in a lot of different things, and I’m a huge fan of hers,” Russell said.
Russell has even auditioned Spears for film roles in the past. And although she wasn’t among those vying for a spot in ‘The Fighter,’ “she could have played one of the sisters when she was in her rough period, but not now.”
But the ‘Till The World Ends’ singer isn’t the only one who has Russell singing their praises — the director would also like to work with Johnny Depp, Cher, Jack White and Rihanna.
According to Russell, with the above talent it would be hard to make a bad flick: “Sounds like you can’t go wrong with those people right there. Just add camera and stir.”
But Russell isn’t only a fan of the femme fatale’s on-screen potential. He’s also a fan of her music.
“I went to the Circus concert,” he said. “I think she’s a great entertainer.”
