Uk boy band One Direction already count a number of famous faces amongst their fans, but it seems that Britney herself is the latest to profess her love for the ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ singers.
One Direction ran into Spears whilst performing on the The X Factor, where she is currently a judge. It’s true that the show has proved to be particularly popular with Spears judging and mentoring contestants, with fans taking a break from checking their emails and playing Cheekybingo to watch the singer hand out advice to those hoping to make it big within the music industry. However, with teen sensation One Direction recently opening the show, viewers were said to have been glued to the screen – and by all accounts, Spears herself was just as impressed.
“They swooned me,” revealed Spears of One Direction after the show, despite the fact that most members of the British boyband are almost half her age. She then went on to say “I loved them. I thought they were amazing. I was like ‘yeah!’” Insiders have since hinted that Spears even asked the boy band to sing at her wedding, instructing Simon Cowell free up their schedules especially for the event. One Direction may have found famed by finishing in third place on the UK version of The X Factor back in 2010, but they have since gone on to have huge international success – giving an exciting idea of what the future may hold for the show’s current contestants.
Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have already professed their love for 1D, but an invitation to perform at Britney’s wedding would surely seal their place as singing sensations. Although there is no confirmation that the gig will definitely go ahead as if yet, we’ll certainly be listening out for any further hints about what Spears’ wedding could be set to include!
