Okay, first and foremost, I have been on the background in all Britney’s fan sites and after reading what everyone on Breatheheavy has to say, I think it’s time that I gave a piece of my mind now.

Guys, all of us are tripping about Britney not making any efforts for a promo. Now, isn’t a music video a type of promo? And please let’s cut her some slack. Her management has been doing everything right this time around, I’ll admit they haven’t quite in the past. For example, they came out with a killer dance track, Hold It Against Me which debuted at #1 in 17 countries and has broken multiple records as we all know. Her management also hired top notch directors and choreographers to work on her upcoming video. There were so many complains in the past that Britney doesn’t dance like how she used to and her managers are finally taking steps to curb that problem, they hired the best in the business, Brian Friedman and she’s dancing her ass off! Now, what more can you ask for?

She just came out with the song for like 2 weeks, give the management some time to complete the video and then, trust me, they know all about promotion! Larry has carved her courier as a legendary pop queen, he knows what he’s doing. What would Britney think if they’re all working hard on the video and all we could talk about is “no promo, where’s promo, I want promo”. Would you rather Britney’s camp rush and release a video with the final product being not too great coz she has fans who are impatient or would you want to wait a little longer, have some faith in her management and be surprised at the final product! Hey, I’m a Britney fan too, I go crazy sometimes waiting! AND OH GOD, Pleaseee…..she debuted at #1 with 410, 000 copies sold in its FIRST WEEK, which artist nowadays could do that, and plus, without any promotion! It is so darn freaking obvious, that sales were gonna dip the next week. Wait for the video and she’ll be back on top. Remember when Womanizer was released, it debuted at #96 on the Hot 100, but when the video was released it shot straight to #1.

And yeah, about the whole not performing in the Grammy’s or premiering it during the Superbowl, please guys, be honest, you wanted to believe the story so much that we actually made it a fact in our heads only to disappoint ourselves in the end. Britney’s camp never confirmed the news, we thought she was going to perform but it was never official, and now when Larry comes out saying there was no such thing, we are all blaming Britney for something that was never her mistake in the first place. Just trust Britney and her management, they WILL promote the single and album, they’ve been in the business for a long time and they will know what to do. All we do is condemn, like all the time! Are we in her camp, do we know anything about marketing strategies, or what they have in mind to off-set they hype on Gaga’s upcoming single, do we know anything about promoting a #1 single which should be done carefully in order to hike up sales again?! All we know is, “Why isn’t she performing in the Grammy’s, why isn’t she on Larry King Live, why isn’t she on Oprah?” My advice is….wait! Just wait!

Britney’s gonna be promoting Hold It Against Me very soon, let the music video come out first, let us all be amazed, I know we will. Britney is ready this time, her energy levels are up and she has a fully formed management carefully planning and promoting her every move in music, so let’s leave it to the experts.
